Peter Wynne recorded at Abbey Road Studios in 1959 for Parlophone records cutting four singles for that label (three of the eight titles he cut for Parlophone he wrote and co-wrote himself).
Managed by Larry Parnes, Peter appeared on most of the British pop and rock programmes in the early 1960's, including 'Wham', 'Boy Meets Girl' and 'Thank Your Lucky Stars' .
He has toured and shared the stage with Eddie Cochran, Gene Vincent, Billy Fury, Marty Wilde, Joe Brown, Lance Fortune, Daryl Quist Georgie Fame, Lonnie Donegan, Shirley Bassey, Dusty Springfield and many more. He worked with orchestras conducted by Geoff Love, Tony Osborne, Cyril Stapleton, Johnny Harris etc. During the 70's Peter worked extensively in the USA and appeared on US television in Nashville. He recorded as Peter Wynne and as Simon Smith, his singles for Parlophone, Polydor, Columbia and GWS (USA) are highly sought after to this day.
In 2012 Peters’ first CD was released “As Time Goes By” featuring 16 songs newly recorded from ballads to rock ‘n’ roll and country favourites (See discography page)
Peter is still rocking today and has fascinating stories to tell about his career to date.
